WONDER KID WILL SPEAK!!
You read that correctly folks,
the AWL Commissioner's office has just made it official. After being
in a virtual exile for the last month and a half, former AWL World
Heavyweight Champion Wonder Kid is set to return to the AWL tomorrow at AWL 130. Apparently, he will be given an open microphone
and as long as he needs to say what he needs to say.
It would easily be the
understatement of the year to say that Wonder Kid has had a rubbish
season. He became the first wrestler in AWL history to no-show an
event. When he has bothered to show up he hasn't cared enough to
change into his wrestling gear, choosing instead to fight in his
street clothes. This lousy attitude means that he has lost every
single match he has had this season. Hopefully we'll find out where
his head is at AWL 130.

Back in action!
And we're back! RyuSensei speaking and I'm back and working on the Animated Wrestling League! AWL 130 WILL be posted this Sunday morning Japan time. But first, we have the AWL Commissioner's weekly address:
Good evening ladies and
gentlemen, I am the AWL Commissioner. As you are all aware, we shall
reach the mid point of this, our seventh season. The main event
World Championship Match has already been announced, so this week I
gladly announce the rest of the card.
Last weekend's Trios Match
between Bullet Club and the AWL All Stars was.....inconclusive.
Therefore I have COMMISSIONED a series of one-on-one
matches between the 4 members of Bullet Club and 4 of the AWL's
finest combatants. Joining the three members of the AWL All Stars
will be the Warrior of Light: Ma-Ji-Ku!
The full card of AWL 130 is as
follows:
Main Event:
HAKAISHA! vs. Wolf (#1)
AWL World Heavyweight
Championship Match
2nd Title Defense
AWL vs. Bullet Club
Dragon vs. A.J. Styles
Non-Title Match
AWL vs. Bullet Club
Ganba vs. Bad Luck Fale
AWL vs. Bullet Club
“Peacemaker" Luke James
vs. "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson
AWL vs. Bullet Club
Ma-Ji-Ku vs. Yujiro
Yujiro's AWL Debut
There is something else I am
working on for AWL 130, but as preparations are not yet complete, I'm
afraid that announcement must wait.

Medical delay.
I'm sorry it's come to this, but AWL 130 will not be posted this week. Last Saturday I underwent dental surgery. There were complications and now my mouth is a barely functioning mess. I'm not sure when I'll be able to record more AWL audio so we are officially on hiatus.
With luck. This will be a shout lived problem and we'll be back up and running in a week.
I'll keep you updated.

An explanation
Easily the biggest WTF moment of
AWL 128 was Project Tetsu being revealed as Yamada Jiro's tag team
partner. At the time we could only speculate that Jiro had some sort
of arrangement with The Augments. But no actual details were
available.
Until now!! With Tuesday's
announcement that Jiro and Tetsu will be teaming once again at AWL
129, the leader of The Augments, Dr. Jigoku, has come forward with an official statement regarding his relationship with Yamada Jiro:
Yess...it is TRUE! Yamadajiro
came to me to inquire about my Project Tetsu. He wanted to know if
the biological components of my cybernetic masterpiece were made in
Japan. Once I confirmed the history of the genetic stock, we came to
an.....arrangement. Yamadajiro would have use of my BRILLIANT
CREATION in his tag team matches and I would have.....let us just say
that payment was made. Yamadajiro believes that he is SUPERIOR. I
am merely giving him the tools to prove it!

A promotion
The following is a message from
AWL Tag Team Champion Dragon:
After talking things over with
Ganba, we've decided that my partner, "Peacemaker" Luke
James, has more than proved himself worthy as a wrestler and as a
man. Therefore, we are proud to induct Luke as the 3rd member of the
AWL All Stars. From his debut in the World Warrior Exhibition, to his ingenuity in saving himself from Batsumania one more than one
occasion, to his valiant efforts against both the Augments and Bullet
Club, Luke has shown over the last 5 seasons that he deserves a spot
among the elite of the Animated Wrestling League. Welcome to the
team my friend. Now let's show those Bullet Club bullies just what
they've gotten themselves into!
There you have it folks. "Dragon
& James" no longer exist as a tag team. They will
henceforth be known as two thirds of "The AWL All Stars!"

Commissioner's Weekly Address
Good evening ladies and
gentlemen. I am the AWL Commissioner.
This week I am looking forward to
the 129th episode of the Animated Wrestling League. However, I am
also acutely aware that a round number, AWL 130, is fast approaching.
I have decided that this milestone shall be celebrated with an AWL
World Heavyweight Championship Match between the reigning champion
HAKAISHA and the current #1 contender, Wolf.
AWL 130 Main Event:
HAKAISHA! (C) vs. Wolf (#1)
AWL World Heavyweight
Championship Match
2nd Title Defense
Now, on to more pressing
business. Last Sunday at AWL 128, both Ganba and AJ Styles became
involved in the main event tag team championship match. Fortunately,
their interference was not a significant factor in the outcome of
the bout and I believe that AWL Senior Official Joey Babaganoush made
the correct call in allowing the contest to continue.
However, if Ganba and Mr. Styles
wish to involve themselves in a match, then far be it from me to stop
them:
AWL 129 Main Event:
Bullet Club (Styles, Fale, &
Anderson) vs. Dragon, Luke James, & Ganba
Trios Match
Additionally, after reviewing
yesterday's "By the Numbers" report, I am grieved by the
abysmal state of the tag team division. So I am COMMISSIONING 3 tag
team matches for AWL 129 in an attempt to get some more points on the
board:
Signed for AWL 129:
Golden Duo (0) vs. Crisis
Gundan (0)
Masters of the Mask (0) vs.
The Augments (Darkness Ryu/Strike Taka) (0)
The New Classics (2) vs. 山田二郎
& Project Tetsu

A lot of tag team matches this
week. But that's not a bad thing. Tag team wrestling is an all but
forgotten art in 2015, the AWL is happy to do what we can to keep it
alive. Speaking of which, I recently caught up with both the
champions and challengers in tomorrow's tag team championship match.
First, the challengers:
AJ Styles: An old fart and an
idiot wannabe cowboy? Seriously? That's what this company calls tag
team champions? Let me introduce you to a real tag team champion. 3
time IWGP Tag Team Champion with 2 different partners, longest single
reign in the history of those belts. NWA Tag Team Champion. GHC Tag
Team Champion. G1 Tag League and 2 time World Tag League winner.
"The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson! This man can do it all in
tag team wrestling and who does he have by his side? The Underboss,
the Tongan Godzilla, the badest man in Japan, Bad Luck Fale! And
guess what boys, they're not coming alone! In their corner will
be.....ME! IWGP Champion and the hottest thing in wrestling! So
shine those belts up for us boys, cause they're coming home to Bullet
Club. Tooooooo Sweeeeeet!!
And now, the Champions:
Dragon: Bullet Club. I'll be the
first to admit that they're probably the hottest thing in wrestling
right now. But that means exactly nothing to me. They are still
outsiders and invaders in the AWL as far as I'm concerned. I built
this company and I'm not going to let a bunch of self entitled punks
ruin it.
Luke James: This is really
simple. I've worked, wrestled, and fought in the AWL for FIVE
SEASONS now and this tag team belt is the first title I've ever held.
There is no way I'm going to let it slip through my fingers in our
first title defense. Bullet Club, you may be too sweet.....But when
it comes to you, we're just too good.
Tune in tomorrow for AWL 128!

Four promos
Step right up ladies and
gentlemen, today we proudly present a plethora of promos from the 4
men who will be involved in this weekend's Fight for 4 contents.
First, the man with the obvious advantage:
Tiny: I told ya bro! Sometimes
all ya gotta do is speak up and stand up! I'm takin my first step
back to the gold! Ganba, Ma-Ji-Ku, Nelson, I ain't got nothin but
respect for all y'all, but it don't matter who makes it inta the ring
with me, you are going down and I'm going up. Peace!
“Big" Ben Nelson: Last
year my career was side tracked by Kuroyama. I was hurt, put out of
action, nearly lost my career. But this weekend is my chance to fix
all of that. I'm not the biggest, fastest, or most "technical"
whatever the bloody hell that means, but I am the toughest SOB in the
AWL and you'll see why at AWL 128.
Ma-Ji-Ku (Translated from
Spanish): I've been wrestling in the AWL since Season 1. Years
living in a foreign country. Away from my family, friends, language,
and culture. But I've loved every second of it. I've done almost
everything in the AWL. Tag Team Champion, Anarchy Champion, Longest
ever Light Heavyweight Champion. But the one thing I've never done
is be AWL World Heavyweight Champion. It's the last mountain to
climb and the last dragon to slay.
Ganba (Translated from Japanese):
Every athlete in the AWL wants to be World Heavyweight Champion and I
am no exception. I've held the title many times and lost it many
times. But that doesn't mean I don't want to win it again. Much
like many of my friends in the AWL, there are fewer matches ahead
than there are behind. Every chance is precious because you never
know when or if another one will come your way. At AWL 128 I will
fight my friends and slay a giant, all for one more chance.
Thursday, March 5, 2015
Seriously, who would do it?
Last weekend at AWL 127, the All
Americans continued their personal and national rivalry with Yamada
Jiro when they challenged him to find a partner for a tag team match.
The AWL Commissioner has confirmed that this match will take place
at AWL 128 but if Yamada Jiro can't find a partner, it will be a 2 on
1 handicap match:
All Americans vs. 山田二郎
& X
Tag Team/Handicap Match
I've heard some gossip around the
office that Jiro HAS found someone but I haven't been able to narrow
it down. I can only assume he will insist on a Japanese partner, but
I can't thing of any of the Japanese guys on the roster who would be
willing to tag with him.

Golden Rematch!
Three weeks ago at AWL 125, the
Golden Duo of AWL World Heavyweight Champion HAKAISHA and AWL World
Light Heavyweight Champion The DOOMBUNNY fought The New Classics to a
10 minute time limit draw. As per AWL tradition, a rematch has been
booked with greatly increased stakes:
The Golden Duo (1) vs. The New
Classics (0)
2 Point/15 Minute Match
Obviously, if the Golden Duo
wins, they will have 3 points and a chance to become the first two
man team in AWL history to hold EVERY championship at the same time!
Something to look foreward two at AWL 128!
Tuesday, March 3, 2015
Commissioner's weekly address.
In what has been a mostly weekly
tradition around here, I proudly present to you this week's AWL
Commissioner's Weekly Address:
Good evening ladies and
gentlemen. I am the AWL Commissioner. And allow me to congratulate
HAKAISHA on his successful defense of the AWL World's Heavyweight
Championship. While on this matter, I wish to clarify something.
Last season, HAKAISHA was brought back to the AWL as my personal
enforcer under my direct pay. Obviously, this presents a conflict of
interest now that he is the AWL Champion. Therefore I have completed
the paperwork to transfer HAKAISHA to a traditional wrestler's
contract. He is no longer my enforcer. Although, if he wishes to
continue wearing his AWL branded clothing, I'm certainly not going to
stop him.
Now, let us discuss AWL 128.
Last weekend, The Bullet Club earned their 3rd point and now qualify
for a tag team championship match. However, after their match with
The Augments, Dragon & Luke James attacked The Bullet Club from
behind. I can not condone such actions from my champions and they
have both been fined. But the title match will procede as scheduled:
AWL 128 Main Event:
Dragon & James (C) vs. The
Bullet Club (C)
AWL World Tag Team
Championship Match
1st Title Defense
Additionally, we are in need of a
new member of the AWL Best 4. While I believe he has mentioned it on
this blog, Tiny has been lobbying behind the scenes for an
opportunity to regain the AWL Championship. I applaud this kind of initiative and have chosen to reward it. Therefore, at AWL128, there
shall be TWO matches to determine the newest member of the AWL Best
4:
3-Way Match
Ganba vs. Ma-Ji-Ku vs. "Big"
Ben Nelson
Tiny vs. Winner of 3-Way Match
Fight for 4
Ganba, Ma-Ji-Ku, and Nelson have
been selected for this opportunity due to their exemplary win-loss
records.
THIS! I have COMMISSIONED!!!!!!!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
