Injury Reports and Tag Team Promos

Let’s start with the bad news.  AWL Senior Medical Official Dr. Marcus Feelgood has announced that Tiger Mask II has an undisclosed neck injury and is not cleared to compete or appear at ringside for the foreseeable future.  While the exact details of this injury are unknown for privacy reasons, it’s not hard to infer that the two sit-out tombstone piledrivers Tiger Mask II took from Ganba Hisshi DARK last weekend had something to do with it.  Tiger Mask II is still in the AWL Best 4 and will remain so unless he is unable to make his scheduled title match.  That should give him some time to recover, let’s hope it’s enough.

In other tiger related news, I’m happy to turn this blog over to representatives of the champions and challengers in this weekend’s tag team title match.

Nippon Yokatta (Translated from the original Japanese by the AWL Translation Team…under protest):
Yamada Jiro:
Eight years ago, a great tragedy struck our country.  Thousands died and many more lost everything.  But there was one saving grace.  One light in our national darkness.  The gaijin ran like the cowardly dogs that they are!  Hundreds of them scampered back to their countries as if someone had stepped on their tails.  For a brief moment, Japan was whole and pure.  One nation, one people, united by common struggle.  But some of the gaijin remained and more soon joined them.  The infestation spread.
But this weekend, we start the removal all over again.  Black Tiger Justice, you will run like all filthy cowards run from the true strength and greatness of the Japanese soul.  And we will bring the World’s Tag Team Titles home.  And our lost brother Shin Tiger Jr. along with them.

Spring Tiger:
I regret confirming that RyuSensei is correct.  Tiger Mask II is out of action for a while.  But that’s a problem for another day.  Today and this weekend in the AWL Arena we celebrate the rise of a new generation.  A Tiger’s Generation.  And those old fogeys are going to be the first victims of the best tiger team I have ever seen!
