Tag Matsuri Report #1

It’s that time of year again wrestling fans, as the evil oppressive heat finally starts to subside, the Tag Team Division of the Animated Wrestling League starts to heat up as we approach our fall Supercard: The Tag Matsuri!

                For years, the Tag Matsuri has been our annual tribute to the often maligned art of tag team wrestling.  By AWL custom no points can be lost during the Tag Matsuri!  However, points can still be cashed in (and they will be).

                We’re still about three weeks away, but here’s what the AWL Commissioner has announced so far:

AWL World’s Tag Team Championship Match

3^rd Title Defense

Men’s Tag Team Gauntlet Match

To be contested to 3 points

Joshi Tag Team Gauntlet Match

To be contested to 3 points

                We don’t know who the challengers will be yet, but if nobody has three points by the start of the Tag Matsuri, then the winners of the Tag Gauntlet will challenge immediately.
