Greetings wrestling fans, welcome to this week's dose of all the AWL news that's fit to print and some that probably isn't. First off, this is the 200th post on the AWLWrestling.blogspot.com site so . . . Yay for us!!
Now onto the real stuff, what's happening in the AWL? Well, the biggest story as always, the AWL World Title picture. After his definitive victory over the living legend Matt Classic, Wonder Kid seems unbeatable as Champion and his goal of becoming a 1 year champion seems within reach.
But there is one little four letter word that should give the AWL fans hope for the eventual downfall of Yarina's puppet, er, The Man Muscle Mountain and that word is: Wolf!
In that spirit, we have some very special footage from a few weeks ago that should light the spark of hope in the AWL faithful.

Wolf vs. Wonder Kid in the 10 Minute Challenge is the main event of this weekend's AWL 66. In addition, we will have a full card of AWL action for you:
"Big" Ben Nelson vs. "The War King" Eddie Kingston:
After last week's toe to toe slugfest upset win by Ben Nelson, Eddie Kingston issued the following statement.
In 2012 I won the 12 Large Summit to become the first and so far only Chikara Grand Champion. Since that day very few people have beaten me in that ring, NOBODY has knocked me out, and NOBODY has beaten me twice! Nelson, you earned my respect last week but next week you need to be taught a lesson boy. You need to learn why they call me the War King. I'm going to beat you down and knock you into last month. Victory . . . . . or Valhalla!
The AWL Commissioner has indeed signed that rematch and it will happen this weekend.
The Super Tiger Bros. (2) vs. The All Americans (0):
Points are on the line as the tigers go for their third and final point in their quest to redeem themselves against the AWL World Tag Team Champions. On the other side of the ring will be the All Americans who are returning to the AWL fresh off a tour of the US indy scene and hungry for their first point. Remember the new rules: Win 3 falls, you're standing tall, lose one match, you've lost it all.
Curry Man vs. Fire Ant vs. El Rudo Rojo--Light Heavyweight #1 Contender's Match:
It's become the oldest story in the AWL. Ma-Ji-Ku is the longest reigning champion in all of professional wrestling today and every AWL Wrestler in the Light Heavyweight Division want's the honor of being the man that finally ends that historic streak. The AWL Commission has gathered 3 of the top wrestlers in that weight class and the winner of this weekend's triple threat match will get the chance to enter the history books and achieve fame forever. The contenders are:
Curry Man: The "King of Spice" is currently without his tag team partner, but after his recent victory over Yarina, the AWL Commissioner has rewarded Curry Man with this opportunity.
Fire Ant: Bringing his hot blooded attitude to the AWL, this is Fire Ant's first shot at a championship in this company and a rare shot at singles gold for this Chikara tag team specialist.
El Rudo Rojo: I know, I know. The AWL Commissioner is loathe to offer this chance to a member of the N.R.E. but the Commissioner is nothing if not fair minded and the Red Rudo has been winning most of his matches lately and wins = championships. It's a matter of numbers.
Ganba vs. Ma-Ji-Ku--Fight for 4:
With Matt Classic out of the title picture, the AWL Best 4 looks like this:
1. Wolf
2. Hassan
3. Luke James
4. ????
This match will fill in those question marks. Looking at the calibre of the combatants, one can deduce that the Commissioner is turning up the heat on Wonder Kid.
Join us this weekend for AWL 66 and see the future of the AWL begin to take shape.
