Unsportsmanlike behavior is common in professional
wrestling, but that doesn’t mean it’s acceptable, especially from a respected
veteran and locker room leader. Last
week, during the Fight for 4, AWL All Star Luke James physically interfered in
the match to prevent the referee from counting Ganba’s shoulders down.
This is completely unacceptable and Luke James has
been fined for his infraction. However,
as Wyvern won the match anyway, the AWL Commissioner has decided that no
suspension is warranted at this time.
But that isn’t enough for The Young Dragon. Wyvern has challenged Luke James to a one on one contest to settle the matter and, to his credit, Luke James has agreed. The match has been scheduled for next weekend at AWL 213.
