Day 5: Wonder Kid vs. Ganba.
After
a week of blatant hard selling of the Season 3 finale, we are less than 24
hours away and it’s time to talk about the main event. Ganba and Wonder Kid have been rivals for
years, dating back to when the AWL was on YouTube and filmed on WWF Attitude
for the PS1. It was Ganba that ended
Wonder Kid’s original 364 day title reign 24 hours short of a full year. These two AWL all-stars would trade the title
back and forth in the final days before our big jump to Daily Motion.
Since
then, Ganba has spent time sidelined due to injury and has been distracted by
his ongoing feud with “Wild Card” Bubba Reese (Speaking of which, Ganba’s
scheduled match with Reese has been postponed until next season). The last time Ganba and Wonder Kid fought, at
AWL 48, Ganba defeated Wonder Kid with a surprise modified power slam for a pin
fall victory.
With
Wonder Kid using the 10 Minute Challenge to avoid defending the title, Ganba
knows that getting two title shots in one season is a rare blessing, one he
does not intend to waste. But you don’t
have to take my word for it.
In accordance with AWL tradition, both
champion and challenger in this weekend’s AWL World Heavyweight Championship
Match will now be given the opportunity to make a public statement. First, the Champion:

And
now the challenger:
関係ない。俺の怪我は関係ない。破壊者とリスは関係ない。俺たちの前の試合も関係ない。日曜日に俺とキッドはAWLリングに入る。勝ち一つ。負ける一つ。それだけだ!俺はいつも頑張れます!

English:
It
doesn’t matter. My injuries don’t
matter. HAKAISHA and Reese don’t
matter. Our past matches don’t
matter. This Sunday, Kid and I will enter
the AWL ring. There will be one
winner. There will be one loser. That’s all!
I will always do my best.

You know the matches. You know the stakes. You know the fighters. Tune in to AWL 60 tomorrow to learn the
