Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, I am
the AWL Commissioner.
On
behalf of everyone here at the Animated Wrestling League, I am quite grateful
to all of you for making AWL 60 the most successful event in the history of the
company. May was our best month ever in
terms of views and we are within a hair of June topping that already as of this
writing.
Preparations
for Season 4 of the Animated Wrestling League are already underway. Our wrestlers are using this time off to heal
any nagging injuries they may have, train themselves in new wrestling
techniques, and of course spend valuable time with their families and friends.
Now,
it falls to me to address a most grievous issue facing the world of independent
wrestling, the seeming demise of Chikara:
For
those of you unaware, top American independent wrestling organization Chikara
has been forcibly shut down by their parent company Worldwide Media Development
Corporation, including a most unfortunate incident at their recent iPPV. WMD Corp. and their parent company Titor Conglomerate have decided to liquidate
all Chikara assets as soon as possible, essentially spelling the death of the
best wrestling company in the United States.
I SAY THEE
NAY!!! This shall NOT STAND!! As of this moment, ladies and gentlemen, the
Animated Wrestling League is officially in negotiations with Titor Conglomerate
to purchase any and all Chikara assets we can get our grubby little paws
on. Our company’s means may be limited,
but I am willing to sink a goodly amount of my own personal fortune into this
project. Our proposal will focus primarily
on the acquisition of intellectual materials and talent contracts. I will keep you, my dear AWL fans, updated on
these matters as they progress.
Until
we speak again, please enjoy the off season and I speak for everyone associated
with the Animated Wrestling League when I say that we hope you will join us
very, very, soon for AWL 61 and Season 4.
