Last news post before AWL 59

OK, this is the last news update before AWL 59.  We have a lot to cover and we’re going to start with the main event.  If you read yesterday’s post, you know the main event of AWL 59 was left as “TBA.”  It turns out that the AWL Commissioner was in the process of booking a HUGE tag team preview of AWL 60.  Check this out:

The Masters of the Mask (Libre & Ma-Ji-Ku) vs. The N.R.E. (Lucha & Bruce Hoyt)

Obviously, the main story here is Lucha and Libre being across the ring from each other a mere week before their history making, rivalry ending, destiny changing, Mask vs. Mask Match at AWL 60.  This will be your last chance to see the brothers from Mexico compete in the tag team division that brought them to the AWL in the first place.

Furthermore, both the champion and challenger of the Light Heavyweight Division will be in this match.  After losing his title to Ma-Ji-Ku nearly 2 years ago, and failing to even come close to winning it again in his several title matches since, Bruce Hoyt is DESPERATE to prove himself against the longest reigning champion in AWL history.

Two stories collide in the main event.  Be there at AWL 59 and see who earns the all-important momentum going into the season finale.

In other news, we have heard back from both Ganba and Yarina Talent Management Inc. and can now report the names of the opponents chosen by each man for the other.  First, the AWL World Heavyweight Champion’s opponent for Ganba:

              Ganba is yesterday’s news.  He is no longer the best wrestler in Japan.  In fact, he is no longer the best Japanese wrestler in the AWL.  Thankfully, we now have the opportunity to prove it.  At AWL 59, Ganba will wrestle . . . HAKAISHA!

Wow.  Ganba faces one half the AWL World Tag Team Champions.  It’s going to be Japanese Megastar vs. Japanese Destroyer at AWL 59!

Now, we turn the tables and announce who Ganba has chosen as Wonder Kid’s opponent:
