AWL 54: Wonder Kid vs. Ma-Ji-Ku

AWL 54 投稿者 AWLBoss

Interviews with Wonder Kid and Ma-Ji-Ku

In accordance with AWL tradition, both champion and challenger in this weekend’s AWL World Heavyweight Championship Match will be given an oppertunnty to address both the AWL fans and each other in this forum.  First, the Challenger, speaking through his manager, Yarina.
December 9th, 2012 was the most important day in AWL history.  That was the day that The Man Muscle Mountain became AWL World Heavyweight Champion.  He has held that title for 147 days as of this coming weekend.  Let me make this as clear as possible.  No half pint, half baked, half crazed little acrobat is going to end that title reign this week or ANY week.  Wonder Kid is on a mission to break the 365 day barrier and no masked dancer (or whatever the hell he is) is going to stop him.
Ma-Ji-Ku, we respect what you’ve done in the Junior’s Division.  You’ve held the Curtain Jerker’s Championship since November 17th 2011.  That’s an amazing 527 days.  But let’s face it, that’s the Baby Division.  The dumping ground for all those wannabe spot monkeys who don’t have the size, strength, or power to be real professional wrestlers.  Ma-Ji-Ku is the best of his kind in the AWL.  But at AWL 54, he steps into the big leagues where he is out manned, out gunned, and out classed.
We’ve already planned the celebration for day 148!

And now, the challenger.  The following message was translated from the original Spanish.
Yarina may be full of (among other things) herself, but she’s right about one thing.  I have been AWL Light Heavyweight Champion for over a year.  Just over 16 months as a matter of fact.  No matter what insults or ignorance you may hurl at the Light Heavyweight Division, we are the premier athletes of the AWL and we do things every week that you couldn’t imagine pulling off in your wildest dreams.  My entire career I have been labeled as the “Little guy who just can’t get it done against the big boys.”  Yes, it’s true that every time I’ve lost a match it has been when I have fought outside of my weight class.  But I’ve had my share of wins against heavyweights as well.  For example, I beat Dragon in the finals of Video Cybernetico to get here.  And this weekend I will silence all the critics.
I have turned back every challenge that has come my way and I never had to hide behind technicalities or “10-Minute Challenges” to do it.  I have fought with honor, integrity, and old fashioned hard work in all that I do and that has lead me to unprecedented success.  I AM Light Heavyweight Champion.  I AM Co-Tag Team Champion.  I AM the final Anarchy Champion.  At AWL 54, I will make history as the AWL’s FIRST Champion of Champions.

Yarina is exaggerating!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am the AWL Commissioner.

It’s true.

I did indeed hire Crisis Gundan from Yarina in order to pit them against the N.R.E.

HOWEVER!  Let it be known that my actions give me no pleasure and I take no pride in them.  Yarina is an opportunistic scum lord and I have deep concerns about her business, hiring, and training practices.  What I did, I did for the Animated Wrestling League.  The members N.R.E. are monsters that must be removed from the AWL for the good of us all.  If their philosophy is allowed to spread, the very spirit of sportsmanship and competition I have spent years cultivating in the AWL may be lost forever.

I am NOT part of the “YTM Inc. family” by any stretch of the imagination.  I am merely using Crisis Gundan to further my own goals in the interest of the AWL.  As Yarina said, it’s just business.

There's more to this than meets the eye.

From the offices of Yarina Talent Management Inc.:
We here at YTM Inc. are overjoyed to announce a new business partnership with none other than the AWL Commissioner himself!  Yes, the head honcho of the AWL has contacted us about a little problem he’s been having as of late.  A little problem called the N.R.E.
We are more than happy to contract the services of our undefeated tag team Crisis Gundan to the AWL Commissioner on a temporary basis.  This weekend at AWL 54, Jack “Break Down” Butcher and HAKAISHA will . . . deal with . . . the N.R.E.  As payment (in addition to our usual finder’s fee), upon successful completion of their mission, Crisis Gundan will become #1 Contenders to the AWL World Tag Team Championship.  We applaud the AWL Commissioner for his wise decision and welcome him into the YTM Inc. family.
N.R.E., you are going to be completely annihilated.  Nothing personal, it’s just business.

AWL 53: Wonder Kid vs. Majiku--10 Min Challenge

AWL 53 投稿者 AWLBoss
The animated wrestling world is still reeling from last night’s blockbuster announcement.  It may be hard to believe, but at AWL 60 Lucha and Libre will fight each other one last time in a Mask vs. Mask match and the loser will be unmasked live on internet video!!
But before that, we have the full card for tonight’s episode of the Animated Wrestling League.

1. Dragon vs. Matt Classic
The #2 and #3 contenders face off in a match intended to prove that Dragon belongs in the Best 4 (Remember, he LOST the Video Cybernetico match but qualified for the Best 4 because the Commissioner was impressed by his performance).

2. Ganba vs. Bruce Hoyt
After smashing Wrestler X with the Isshou Kenmei last week, Ganba continues his self-imposed mission to destroy the N.R.E. one by one before getting his hands on his nemesis, Bubba Reese.  This week, it’s former AWL Light Heavyweight Champion Bruce Hoyt.

3. Crisis Gun-dan vs. Wild Pack Returns
The undefeated Crisis Gun-dan attempts to continue their path of destruction but standing in their way is the #4 contender . . . and a jackass.

4. Black Tiger King vs. Shin Tora
Nobody has seen Tiger Mask since his defeat at the hands of Black Tiger King.  After suffering an unprovoked attack as we were going off the air last week, Shin Tora attempts to stand up for his and his friend/teacher’s honor in this one on one match.

5. MAIN EVENT: Wonder Kid vs. Ma-Ji-Ku
              10 Minute Challenge
The two top champions, with the best win-loss records, in the AWL are fighting each other.  What the heck else do you need me to say?  Watch it!

A difficult decision.

Translated from Spanish:
I know it's been a couple of weeks since my team and I won the 6th match of the Best of 7 series.  But I had to think long and hard about this decision.  After some difficult conversations with our family back in Mexico, and more than a little prayer, I have decided upon the stipulations for the 7th and final match between my brother and myself.  I thank the AWL Commissioner for allowing me this extra time and agreeing to the unusual terms and stipulations I have chosen.

First, the match will take place at AWL 60.  Something this important deserves to happen at a season finale.  As for the match, . . . Lucha de Apuestas: Mascara contra Mascara.

Slight medical delay

Dear AWL fans,

This is Ian Carter, aka RyuSensei.  I am sorry to report that this week's episode of the AWL will be delayed by a few days.  I have come down with a nasty chest infection and can not keep my voice up long enough to record the commentary for the matches.  As soon as I am feeling better, I will get back to work.  Hopefully, there will be two episodes this coming week to make up for it.

I humbly beg for your understanding.  I want to make sure you know that the AWL is NOT going anywhere and this is only a temporary delay.  I know I am far from the most popular thing on the internet and I am deeply grateful for every view I get from each and every one of you.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Ian Carter
