Commissioner's weekly address

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am the AWL Commissioner. I do so enjoy when wrestlers make my job easier.

As you might have surmised, American beetle is not going to take the salacious words of Yamada Jiro lightly. He has requested and I have COMMISSIONED an match between the two this weekend at AWL 148.

Additionally, while their so-called plan is not against any AWL rules, I believe Bullet Club is unlikely to succeed. So let us give them sufficient rope to hang themselves. This weekend, the Bullet Club team of Cody Hall and Yujiro will face the team that received their first point this past weekend at AWL 147, Matt Classic Jr. and the DOOMBUNNY.

Finally, somehow suspended wrestler Ben Nelson sneaked into the AWL Arena last weekend and assaulted # 1 contender Ma-Ji-Ku after the show. Nelson was caught on video and it was my intention to fire him and ban him from the Animated Wrestling League but Ma-Ji-Ku has insisted on a match.  While I understand his warrior's sensibilities, I reminded him that a loss to an unranked wrestler would reflect poorly on his ranking.  But, even with that warning, the Warrior of Light has insisted that he be allowed to settle affairs in the ring.  So be it.

Tomorrow, Ryu Sensei will be present to you the full card for the event including this week's title match.

Hey there losers! World's Best Wrestler AJ Styles here and me and the Young Bucks are jet flying our way to the good old US of A for King of Trios and we're coming back with 3 gold medals.

But enough about that!  How awesome are Bad Luck Fale and Karl Anderson?  The NEW AWL World Tag Team Champions!!  And you know what, they're gonna stay that way!  Ya see, we have  plan.  It's called strength in numbers.  My boys Cody Hall and Yu..Yi..Whatshisname are a registered tag team in this rinky dink excuse for a wrestling company.  So they are gonna wrestle and beat every team that gets ANY points and they ain't never gonna cash in on us.  No points, no challengers, eternal champions!!

As much as it pains him to admit it, the AWL Commissioner realizes that El Rudo Rojo got screwed out of his match (and potentially the winner's share of the purse) at Obon-nanza.  As repayment, he's being placed in this match against the man who won the 4 faction tournament at Obon-nanza, the phenomenal A.J. Styles.  The winner faces Tiger Mask II for the title next week.

Captain AWL vs. E.N. Hance

Speaking of El Rudo Rojo getting screwed, the masked man of mystery from the 2015 rookie class attacked El Rudo Rojo.  Why?  I have no earthly idea.  But it must be personal.  Nobody throws themselves off of a stage onto another man unless it's personal.  Perhaps we will find out the good captain steps into the ring tomorrow.

Well, this is a new one.  For the first time in AWL history not only will points toward tag team title contention be up for grabs, but both members of the winning team will join Ma-Ji-Ku, Bad Luck Fale & (until the end of the night) Project 鉄 in the AWL Best 4.

Just to confirm what was already said at Obon-nanza, this Sunday Japan time the AWL World's Heavyweight Champion HAKAISHA! must defend his title in the next regularly scheduled championship match.

Also, after biding their time and going toe to toe with the champions in the 4 Faction Trios Tournament, Bullet CLub are cashing in their 3 Points and challenging The New Classics for the AWL World Tag Team Titles this weekend at AWL 147.

I know I'm burying the lead a bit here, but I've gotten word that Bullet Club has decided NOT to cash in their 3 points this week.  Not sure why, but my guess is that it has something to do with the G1 Climax Tournament currently going on.  Any way, the AWL Tag Team Division continues (and I suspect the Commissioner made this match to keep the D.o.D. busy before the Grudge Match).

Matt Classic Jr. vs. Wrestler X

I admit, this match surprised me.  Wrestler X hasn't competed in the AWL in months.  He's not been injured, just gone.  No clue where.  But all of a sudden he's back and fighting the young genius athlete of the 2015 rookie class.  Knowing Wrestler X and his...interesting abilities, this should be an interesting match.

Pimpinela Escarlata vs. El Rudo Rojo

Not all things that come from The Temple are death and destruction.  The queen of the exoticos, who has been acting as manager for Big & Spicy will step into the AWL ring for the first time against someone who REALLY needs the win.

Remember those question marks?  Yep, once again we're going to determine the #1 contender to the AWL World's Light Heavyweight Championship on the very show it will be defended on.  Last week was a one fall 4 corner match, this time it's an over the top rope battle royal.  Should be fun.

Commissioner's weekly address.

I am sorry.

I have made a terrible mistake.  Bringing that monster into the Animated Wrestling League was a mistake.  I realize that now.  When I first saw Mil Muertes I thought "What an amazing talent!  I must have him for the Animated Wrestling League."  But he's no ordinary professional wrestler.  He is not even human.  At least not any more.  Now I find myself with a crazy woman holding my company hostage.

I fully believe that she would stop every championship match and with AWL 160 and the crowning of the Grand Champion 4 months away I can not afford that.

HOWEVER!  I will NOT allow myself to be blackmailed.  If Mil Muertes wishes to become the champion, he must prove himself.  This weekend at AWL 146, Mil Muertes must face HAKAISHA! in a non-title match WITHOUT the so-called Queen of the Temple at ringside.  If Catrina's little puppet wins, he will face The Japanese Destroyer for the World's Heavyweight Championship at Obon-nanza.

That is my offer Catrina.  Take it or leave it.

Oh, and it will be a grudge match as well!

Commissioner's Weekly Address

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I am the AWL Commissioner.

But it is not a good evening ladies and gentlemen. It has not been a good week. I have grown tired of my wrestlers thinking they can just attack anyone they like.  Therefore, at great personal expense, I have contracted a professional security force to maintain order at Animated Wrestling League events.  They come from...very far away but their skill, loyalty, and impartiality can not be denied.  They will be on duty as of this weekend at AWL 145.

Speaking of all the interference that has been happening lately, I am a man who believes in the old adage of professional wrestling:!. Let them fight But let them fight in the correct time and place It just so happens that we have a Super Card coming up in just under two weeks.  So let these matches be...COMMISSIONED!!:
