The Fate of the Four.

Hey there wresting fans and AWL faithful the world over!

While I'm fairly sure there is another wrestling event today that has all of your attention, I'm here to present you with more news and matches for the wrestling event you SHOULD be focusing on: AWL 87, which we are now subtitling "Haru Havoc!"

You already know about the Champions' Showcase Tag Team main event between Big & Spicy and the team of Ganba & Ma-Ji-Ku, but let us not forget the all important AWL Best 4. At the moment, the rankings are as follows:

1. "Big" Ben Nelson
2. Wonder Kid
3. Wolf
4. [Vacant]

First, of course, we need to fill that vacancy with a Fight for 4 Match. By decree of the AWL Commissioner, the match will be:

Lightning" Mike Quackenbush vs. Wrestler X

Yes, you read that right, Wrestler X is making his return to the AWL after a loooooong time on the injured list. Last seen as a member of the N.R.E., he was put on the shelf by Crisis Gundan. We've heard nothing from him since, but appearently he has been in vigrous rehab hoping to return to the AWL ring. I can only assume that his spot in the Fight for 4 is a reward from the AWL Commissioner for his hard work in returning to action.

But that's not all from the top 4 contneders at AWL 87. Since we have all 4 champions in action, it's only fair that all 4 contenders be in a match as well. Therefore (and to shake things up a bit), the boss has decided to bring out a second AWL tradition in addition to the Champions' Showcase:

Big" Ben Nelson vs. Wonder Kid vs. Wolf vs. ???? [Winner of Fight for 4]--AWL Best 4 Reshuffle Match!

A 4-Courners/Fatal Fourway/whatever you want to call it match where the winner of the fall bacomes the #1 Contender and the loser of the fall drops to #4 with everyone else moving up or down as needed to fill in the gaps. So it's possible that either Quackenbush or Wrestler X could go from the outside to the top of the rankings in a single night, but they'll have to win two matches to do it.

That's all for now, stay tuned all this week for more news and matches as we move toward AWL 87: Haru Havoc!
