AWL 60 Countdown Day 2

Tonight we are supposed to talk about the Light Heavyweight Championship Match at AWL 60.  However, there isn't much to talk about.  Ma-Ji-Ku has been AWL Light Heavyweight Champion since November 17th 2011!

A year and a half.  18 months.

That is easily the longest title reign in ANY division in AWL history.

Unlike Wonder Kid, Ma-Ji-Ku has never dodged a challenger or tried to get out of a title match.  At AWL 60 he faces the man he won the title from in the first place all those years ago: Bruce Hoyt.

Again.

"The Boxing Bastard" Bruce Hoyt has had several chances to regain the AWL Light Heavyweight Championship and he has failed at every single one of them.  There are only so many times that the AWL Commissioner is going to let Hoyt's past glory grant him chance after chance.  So if Hoyt is going to be the first man to bring gold to the N.R.E., he is going to have to do it NOW!

Neither wrestler was available for comment at the time of this writing.  Ma-Ji-Ku politely asked me to leave when I tried to interview him.  The N.R.E. tried to kick my ass.

At AWL 60 it will be Ma-Ji-Ku vs. Bruce Hoyt for the AWL Light Heavyweight Championship probably for the last time so be there or . . . watch it later in the archives I guess.
