AWL Wrestler Profile: Dragon

Dragon
              From: Chiba, Japan.
              Record: 12-11
              Finisher: Dragon Drop.
              Affiliation: None.
              Style: Master of All Styles.
Championships: AWL World Champion x2 (1st)
The first wrestler ever hired by the AWL and our first Champion.  Dragon was born in the United States and suffers from an . . . unusual genetic condition that causes him to not only have green skin (that’s not makeup if you were wondering), enhanced stamina, and seemingly a slow aging process (he looks the same today as he did when he first joined the company).
Dragon grew up in a loving household and, despite being severely bullied at school, led a relatively normal life. But Dragon found that there are relatively few job opportunities in the world for someone who looks like him.  So he joined up with the modern day circus: Professional Wrestling.  Determined not to be pigeonholed as a “Freak” or “Sideshow” wrestler, Dragon dedicated himself to learning every single faced of the mat game.  As a result, he became a true all-around athlete inside the ring.  Brawling, high flying, submission, mat wrestling, he can do it all.  It was this perfect combination of talent that drew the eye of a young AWL Commissioner when he was looking for someone to build his new promotion around.
Dragon became such a leader in the AWL locker room that it became a tradition for a few years to have every debuting wrestler in the AWL face Dragon in their first match (affectionately known as the Dragon Debut Series) so Dragon could test them and see if they measured up to the gold standard of animated wrestling.

Fast forward nearly 13 years later and Dragon is still going strong in the AWL.  He wrestles a part time schedule these days and likes to focus on helping the younger wrestlers improve their game.  To that end he took young Luke James under his wing and taught him many of the ins and outs of being a professional wrestler.  Even with the part time schedule, Dragon’s history, skill, and commanding presence make him a perennial contender for the AWL World Heavyweight Title.
