AWL 103 Preview

WE HAVE #1 CONTENDERS!!

Dragon & Ganba earned their 3rd point at AWL Mid-Week Wrestling and will cash in their 3 points this weekend at AWL 103 as the main event of the Tag Matsuri!

Speaking of which, I have a HUGE announcement from the AWL Commissioner's office regarding this weekend.  I hope you're sitting down for this because nobody (including Chikara) has ever done this before:

By order of the AWL Commissioner, NO POINTS CAN BE LOST DURING THE TAG MATSURI!!!

So even if a team loses a match this week, they keep any points they've earned.  However, points may still be cashed in.  And that's important this week more than any other and you'll see why in a moment because here is the full card for AWL 103: Tag Matsuri 2014.

Main Event:
Crisis Gundan (C) vs. Dragon & ガンバ
Yarina is still under the AWL Commissioner's ultimatum.  She must control all the titles by the end of the season or be fired and have her stable disbanded.  At the moment, YTM Inc. controls only the AWL World Tag Team Titles.  So this is a necessary defensive move for Crisis Gundan.  However, as someone who is truly sick and tired of this *****, I'm rooting for Dragon & ガンバ.  However, Ganba has a disadvantage in this match.  More on that later.

Tag Team Gauntlet Match
To Be Contested to 3 Points
The meat and potatoes of the Tag Matsuri.  In the past, we've had tag team tournaments, we've had tag team debuts, and now we're doing something we've never done before.  A Tag Team Gauntlet Match!  The rules are as follows: 2 teams will begin.  Every time a team loses, a new team takes their place.  Each fall will have a 10 minute time limit.  The match will continue until one team has 3 points.  That winning team will face the winners of the main event at a future date.

AWL Championship Tournament Round of 16 Match
ガンバ vs. El Santo Azul
Yes, Ganba is pulling double duty this week.  The brackets of the Round of 16 (which were determined by win-loss records) have thrust us into a schedule conflict.  Apparently, Ganba spoke to the AWL Commissioner yesterday and said that he has no problem with two matches in one night.  But in consideration of Ganba, the AWL Commissioner has scheduled this match to be first on the card to give Ganba the maximum possible rest time before the main event.

It all takes place this weekend at AWL 103: Tag Matsuri 2014!
